Jacobs Entertainment announced a $130M development plan for J Resort, along with an outdoor entertainment agreement with JMF Presents.
The development will create J Resort’s Festival Grounds. The more than 10-acre festival grounds will be located between North Arlington and Ralston streets. Upon completion, the site will be able to accommodate up to 15,000 guests.
More than 40 events are to be held every summer, with a projected visitor count of 150K-200K.
JMF Presents will manage J Resort’s outdoor entertainment activities from 2025-2030. Jacobs is investing approximately $5M into site improvements, with $125M allocated for construction/predevelopment work at J Resort.
The resort expansion will include the festival space, a north expansion and a west expansion.
The north expansion includes a new entrance off West 4th Street, additional parking, gaming, restaurant, banquet hall and a 20-foot sculpture commissioned in Italy. The 400-seat banquet hall, dubbed Rolling Art, will contain a pre-function area set to showcase $50M of European sports cars from the Jacobs’ Collection. The northern expansion is slated to begin construction in January 2025.
The west expansion will include an 800-seat banquet area with a meeting space, a spa and an indoor/outdoor rooftop pool. Predevelopment work has already begun.
Local sources have reported TBE Architects serves as the design firm.
The developer is also scheduled to open its 245 North Arlington Apartments in March. Leasing will begin Jan. 1, 2025. Move-in for the apartment complex has been set for March 1, 2025. (Source)
