The Las Vegas Planning Commission approved waivers of development standards for a four-story Hampton Inn at 7412 N. Durango Dr. during its Feb. 11 meeting. The site is near Oso Blanca Road and North Durango Road.
The 117-room hotel will total 53KSF and include a pool, spa, fitness center, sundries shop, laundry area and lounge seating. No alcohol, gaming or restaurant operations will be available in the hotel when constructed.
Aside from an existing storage facility, the site is completely vacant. Sunwest Commercial is the developer attached to the project. The owner of the property is Durango MB Partners, LLC. Vangson Consulting, LLC created a landscape plan for the project, and The Richardson Design Partnership, LLC provided elevation and floor plans.

Aesthetically, the exterior of the building will be finished with stucco/EIFS, a stone veneer and simulated wood cladding. The building, if constructed, will be 55 feet tall. The parcel is zoned Town Center and has a Service Commercial Town Center Special Land Use Designation.
Waivers were approved to allow the building to reach four stories, to allow a zero-foot perimeter landscape buffer on the north and west ends of the property, and to allow a reduction in the required amount of parking lot trees from 36 to 29.
