Awards & Accolades
1. Two major Nevada corporations were recognized at the Associated Builders and Contractors Convention 2025 on Feb. 26. Helix Electric was recognized for its exceptional work on the Venetian Voltaire Theatre in Las Vegas, and SR Construction Inc. for its work on the West Henderson Hospital. Projects were judged on complexity, unique challenges overcome, completion time, innovation and safety.
Groundbreakings
2. Officials broke ground on Sunrise Ranch Apartments on Mar. 3. The $53.7M affordable housing complex was financed through $32.6M from the Nevada Housing Division, $13.1M from Clark County, $3.2M from the City of Henderson and $1.8M from the American Rescue Plan Act. The complex will have 144 units, 60 of which are exclusively designated for young adults exiting the foster care system. Nevada Housing and Neighborhood Development led the development effort. The project is expected to be completed by late 2026 and is located at S. Broadbent Blvd. and Boulder Highway in Henderson.
Completions
3. Metcalf Builders has completed construction of Seasons at Stonebrook Apartments five months ahead of schedule and under budget. The complex is located at 775 Tierra Del Sol Pkwy. in Sparks. The development covers 19.8 acres and features 396 one-, two- and three-bedroom apartments.
4. Construction at Kallan Apartments at 350 Boomtown Garson Road in Reno is complete. The complex is a Forum Investment Group project in partnership with architecture firm FormGrey Studios. Interior design work was completed by ESG Architecture and Interior Design of Minneapolis. Construction was completed by Metcalf Builders. The project is valued at $63M and contains 242 studio, one-, two- and three-bedroom units across 11 acres.

5. Tenant improvements at Park Center East and West, 9805 Double R Blvd. in Reno, have been completed. The upgrades at Park Center East included demolition of three walls, relocation of the main entrance, the creation of seventeen new offices, electrical upgrades and HVAC installation. Park Center West’s upgrades included seven new offices, new HVAC ducting and updated power configurations. The improvements were a collaboration between Incline Capital Group and Montane Building Group.
6. An expansion for Wedco, Inc.’s building at 3888 Wedco Way has been completed. CBC Steel Buildings provided the metal building, and Montane Building Group worked on the expansion’s construction. The expansion is 6.7KSF and includes two new exits and a fire riser room.
7. Construction enhancements at The Crossing at Meadowood Square are complete. This final phase extended outward improvements to the remaining storefronts and buildings after the first phase’s façade and entry upgrades of the complex’s Ski Pro and Trek Bikes. The complex at 6405 to 6479 S. Virginia St. in Reno is 63KSF. The GC on the project was Frank Lepori Construction, the architect was Eric Sikora and the developer was K Corp.
