Developers of the Las Vegas Spaceport may take the company public to make the development more appealing to investors.
CEO Rob Lauer is considering this move as he anticipates Elon Musk will have a prominent role in the federal government. The Las Vegas Spaceport is scheduled to break ground in 2025.
The spaceport was designated by Clark County as Las Vegas Executive Airport. It is located off Nevada State Route 160 near Pahrump. Plans indicate the spaceport would begin as an airstrip that could grow to support spaceplanes that would take off and land horizontally. (Source)
