Groundbreakings

1. Panattoni Development, in partnership with Clarion Partners of New York City, has started construction on two of four planned buildings at its 88.7-acre 580 South project. The first building was fully pre-leased, prompting speculative construction on the second. The final four buildings will total 840.6KSF, with the first two expected to be completed by Q1 2026. Alston Construction is the general contractor for all horizontal and vertical work. Backbone infrastructure is already complete, and materials for the two current buildings were purchased in advance, insulating the project from tariff-related economic uncertainty.

Completions

2. The new Whole Foods at 2475 S. Town Center Dr. will open to the public on May 15. Whole Foods will serve as the anchor for the retail center, Downtown Summerlin. This location will be the fourth for the company in the Las Vegas area.

(WIP Village; The Community Foundation of Northern Nevada) The Village on Sage Street in Reno has completed a 96-unit expansion, increasing its total capacity from 216 to 312 single-occupancy units. Construction finished March 21. Located at 300 Sage St., the low-income modular housing complex was originally built in 2019 using repurposed man camp materials. The project is operated by Volunteers of America and targets renters earning at least minimum wage but no more than 60% of the Area Median Income. The expansion was funded through public money and grants.
