Groundbreaking

1. Construction is set to begin on Dr. Sherif Haraway’s Americana-Haraway Medical Center, a 25KSF facility at 7475 W. Sahara Ave. in Las Vegas. The $15M project will include outpatient surgical suites, neurology and pain management services, urgent care and an infusion center. Martin-Harris Construction is leading the build, while IN2IT Architecture is overseeing the design. Completion is expected in mid-2026. Haraway was represented by Bob and Jill Barnhart of Luxurious Real Estate in acquiring the $6.8M property.

Progress Reports

2. Construction is roughly halfway complete at Visions Park, a 100-unit affordable housing complex designed for blind and visually impaired residents. The project, located near the Blind Center of Nevada’s campus, is expected to be completed in early 2026. Funding includes $15M from the State of Nevada, $8M from Clark County and additional contributions from Las Vegas, North Las Vegas and Henderson.

3. Renovations at the 24-year-old Pahrump Community Library are nearing completion under a $1M overhaul that began in November 2024. A preview event was held May 21 to showcase the upgrades. The library is expected to reopen in mid-June at 701 East St.

Completions

4. Oikos Development Corp. has completed the second and final phase of Sierra Flats, a 160-unit affordable housing project off Butti Way in Carson City. The $55M project includes 40 units for seniors and 120 for families, with 16 market-rate units and the remainder for households earning 30% to 60% of the area median income. Construction was supported by a City land conveyance agreement restricting use to affordable housing for 51 years.

5. The City of North Las Vegas has completed a $23M multi-use field project at Craig Ranch Regional Park. The 1.86MSF expansion includes three natural and three artificial turf fields and 2,649 new parking spaces.
