Groundbreakings
1. The Boys & Girls Club of Truckee Meadows has started construction on the Eureka Early Learning Center, the community’s first licensed childcare facility. The $3.2M project will provide year-round care for up to 60 children and includes future plans for a community room and school-age space. The center is on track to open in 2026.
Progress Reports
2. Construction continues on the 660-ft Guitar Hotel tower, now reshaping the former Mirage site on the Las Vegas Strip. The redevelopment includes a full remodel of the existing tri-tower structure and will deliver nearly 3,600 rooms, 175KSF of gaming space, multiple pools and entertainment venues. The project remains on schedule to open in late 2027.
3. Haas Automation’s roughly 2.5MSF manufacturing plant south of Henderson Executive Airport is advancing, with walls up and the shell set to be in place by year-end. The budget has increased from earlier estimates to about $500M. Operations are planned to begin in early 2027.
4. Construction on the $378M Maryland Pkwy. bus rapid transit project has passed the one-year mark. The 12.5-mile corridor includes utility upgrades, new medians, wider sidewalks and 44 enhanced shelters. Las Vegas Paving is the contractor, with completion expected in fall 2026.
5. Construction is halfway complete on Allegiant Air’s new 80KSF West Coast training center in Las Vegas. Located near the Strip, the facility will include advanced classrooms, flight simulators and mock cabin environments for pilot and flight attendant training. The project is slated to open in spring 2026.
