A liquidation sale is planned for the Royal Resort at 99 Convention Center Drive in Las Vegas prior to its tentative demolition in August.
While there are plans to demolish the off-Strip resort, permits have yet to be obtained to allow the process. Furthermore, applications regarding the demolition have not been submitted to Clark County at this time.
A fire started on the seventh floor due to guests smoking in 2022. The fire activated the sprinkler system, which caused water damage throughout the hotel.
Resort owners intended to fix it and get it running again, but the insurance company was unwilling to cover full renovation costs. The owners then decided to demolish the property.
The liquidation sale includes anything left in the hotel, from mattresses to lamps and coffee makers. (Source)
