Giving Back

1. Edwin Santiago-Colon, an Air Force veteran, was awarded a fully functional Tiny Home and its property during a Veterans Day event at LeatherNeck Club in Las Vegas. The home was built by Shop Class high school students, with guidance from JAG Development and local construction and trade professionals who volunteered as mentors. The award was presented by Bay Law Injury Attorneys.

2. The University of Nevada, Reno’s Nevada Tech Hub announced $15.5M in funding for 16 lithium battery-related projects. The projects are centered around creating opportunities and enhancing the knowledge surrounding lithium.

3. Matt Addison received the Lawyer of the Year award in Construction Litigation for Northern Nevada in the 2026 edition of The Best Lawyers in America. He is recognized in Construction Law, Construction Litigation, Commercial Litigation and Arbitration and is a Fellow of the Construction Lawyers Society of America.

4. Westex Consulting Engineers announced its subsidiary Precision Pipeline Services earned NASSCO Pipeline Assessment Certification. PPS provides CCTV inspection of storm drain and sanitary sewer utilities.

New Hires

5. Tutor Perini Building Corporation announced a new leadership team that consists of:

  • Mike Cherwin, appointed President, who has more than 30 years of experience delivering large-scale hospitality and gaming, high-rise residential and advanced manufacturing projects across the western United States,
  • Chris Cosenza, named VP of Business Development and
  • Chris Casuga, named VP of Preconstruction Services.

6. Lindy Deller has been hired by Tolles as its new Director. Deller will be in charge of the lifecycle of projects from acquisition to completion. She has more than 10 years of commercial real estate experience.

7. Joe Stubitz, Boulder City’s Utilities Director for roughly four years, has left the City to take a new role leading the Power Delivery Group of the Colorado River Commission of Nevada. Stubitz previously worked for 16 years as a power engineer with the Bureau of Reclamation and will oversee engineers and operators responsible for 30 substations that support water delivery, reclamation and industrial operations.
