Groundbreakings
1. Construction has begun to convert the former Club Madrid space at Sunset Station in Henderson into a 28-seat Gaudi Bar on the casino floor. The project is part of Station Casinos Inc.’s $53M renovation of its off-Strip portfolio and is occurring alongside upgrades to the casino pit and a new Player Services area.
2. Construction is set to begin on the Nevada State Veterans Memorial at Thunderbird Family Sports Complex, 6105 N. Durango Dr., in northwest Las Vegas. The $7.7M project is a partnership between the State of Nevada, the City of Las Vegas and the Mayor’s Fund for Las Vegas LIFE and will relocate 18 bronze statues honoring American military service. Rafael Construction is serving as the contractor, and the City of Las Vegas is managing the project.
