Montane Building Group has started construction on the Elemental LED Warehouse Tenant Improvement Project at 1190 Trademark Dr., Suites 105, 107 and 108, in Reno. The project will convert the existing warehouse into a manufacturing facility with new interior walls, ceilings, doors and finishes, along with mechanical, plumbing and electrical upgrades. Construction began in June and is expected to wrap up in September.
Construction is set to begin on a $3.2M improvement project at Gary Reese Freedom Park, 850 N. Mojave Road in Las Vegas. The project will add a splash pad, two sand volleyball courts, restrooms and a shade structure. Monument Construction is the contractor, and Carpenter Sellers Del Gatto Architects is the design consultant.
Building 3 at Panattoni Development Company’s 580 South industrial park in Reno has completed major construction. At 196.6KSF, the facility is the second of four planned buildings at the 89-acre development, which will total 840KSF. Tectonics Design Group designed the building, and Alston Construction served as general contractor. The overall $155M development broke ground in 2024.
The University of Nevada, Las Vegas opened the Marlow Early Childhood Education Campus, a 12KSF expansion that doubled capacity for its early childhood education programs. The new campus adds four classrooms for up to 80 preschool students and includes space for early childhood and special education research. Anonymous donors contributed $12.5M to the project, which will serve more than 300 children.
Nevada Rise Academy has opened its new two-acre campus near Owens and Eastern avenues in North Las Vegas. The charter school purchased the former church campus for $13.5M with financing from the Nevada Facilities Fund and relocated from rented space in east Las Vegas. The campus serves approximately 420 students and has capacity for approximately 450 students.
Six new pickleball courts have opened at Mills Park, bringing the total number of public courts in Carson City to 14. Spanish Springs Construction built the approximately $1.1M project, which replaced aging tennis courts with post-tension concrete courts and included wider sidewalks and access improvements. The courts are located at 841 N. Roop St.
