1. NAIOP Southern Nevada announced the graduates of its 2025 Developing Organizational Leadership Institute. The program provides leadership training in time management, productivity and communication styles. Graduates include:

Boards & Commissions

2. Dann Weeks will remain General Manager of the Nye County Water District under a new three-year contract approved by the Board. The agreement includes annual $2K raises, with salary set at $72K in year one. The contract runs through June 30, 2028.

Promotions

3. Randy Laub has been promoted to Director of Mesquite Parks and Leisure Services. Laub has worked with the City’s parks department since 1994 and previously served as Leisure Services Assistant Director. He plans to prioritize playground and facility updates.

New Hires

4. GCW Engineering, Inc. announced it hired Matthew Sutherland as a Senior Engineer. Sutherland will be working with GCW’s growing land development group in Reno. He has more than six years of experience as a civil engineer in the area.
