4. Carson City is nearing completion of its first new fire station in 50 years. Located at the east end of Butti Way, Fire Station 55 and Emergency Operations Center are expected to open in four-to-six weeks. CORE West Inc. is the general contractor on the $18M project, which includes $6.3M in federal funding. The 18KSF facility will house fire and emergency operations, as well as IT and dispatch functions.
