Giving Back

1. The Nevada Tech Hub is providing $3.9M to the Northern Nevada Building & Construction Trades Council Development Corp. and the Northern Nevada Member Assistance Program to support apprenticeship programs. Currently, the NNBCTC Development Corp. has roughly 4,900 apprentices.

2. Redwood Materials, Washoe County and the Nevada Tech Hub are forming a partnership to launch a statewide battery recycling program. The program consists of 20 smart receptacles that will provide accessible recycling options. Recycled lithium batteries will be repurposed to benefit the state’s lithium supply chain.

3. Dan Stucky has been appointed to Lumos & Associates’ Board of Directors. Stucky is currently the company’s Director of Engineering and has been with the company since 2023. He has nearly two decades of experience.

4. The PENTA Building Group recently announced the hiring of Chad Marquardt as its new VP of Finance.
