Nevada Partners, Inc. recently held a pre-bid conference for its Youth Empowerment Center Expansion Project at 690 W. Lake Mead Blvd. in North Las Vegas.
The project consists of a two-story expansion to an existing building. The expansion will feature a state-of-the-art facility that will create a safe environment for individuals with diverse backgrounds to develop social, emotional and cognitive skills.
These skills will be developed through STEM job training, employment readiness programs and wraparound services. The YEC will feature a sound production flexible training room, learning spaces and an open area with a lounge/café.
Nevada Partners, Inc. is the owner and developer. KGA Architecture is the architect attached to the project. Developers are currently searching for a general contractor.
Additional parties include SLA Land Architects as the landscape architect; United Structural Design as the structural engineer; Lochsa Engineering as the civil engineer, and FEA Consulting Engineers as the M/E/P engineer.
Nevada Partners told BEX, “A key focus of the NVP YEC is to create a direct pipeline for young individuals to transition into IATSE Local 720, preparing them for careers as riggers and other behind-the-scenes positions within the live entertainment and production industries. The facility will include specialized training spaces, as well as a dedicated studio booth for recording and audio mixing to support music production and related creative skill development. This is specifically to create a talent pipeline that will be needed if Hollywood 2.0 does come to Las Vegas.”
The mandatory pre-bid conference was held on Feb. 6. Sealed bids can be submitted to the Nevada Partners Information Desk. The deadline for submissions is Feb. 26 at 3:15 p.m. Additionally, bids can be submitted via NGEM.
