1. The International Economic Development Council announced the Las Vegas Global Economic Alliancehas once again been recognized as one of 94 economic development organizations accredited by IEDC as an Accredited Economic Development Organization. Originally accredited in January 2018, the organization was reaccredited by IEDC following six successful years of activity as an AEDO member.

2. Thompson Thrift announced the successful closing of the Thompson Thrift 2026 Multifamily Development, LP, with more than $222M in total capital commitments from over 350 investment partners, including accredited investors, qualified purchasers, registered investment advisors and select institutions. The partnership will support the ground-up development and construction of multifamily communities spanning Georgia, Idaho, Nevada, South Carolina and Tennessee with Thompson Thrift as the developer.

Promotions

3. Collin Sturge and Mara Quiroga have been promoted at Lumos in the firm’s Civil Engineering Department, supporting the Water & Wastewater team. Sturge was elevated to Group Manager. He joined the firm in 2017 and most recently served as Project Manager. He earned his Professional Engineer license in 2021 and became a Partner in 2023. Quiroga was promoted to Senior Technical Lead after serving as Project Manager. She joined Lumos in 2016, became a Partner in 2023 and has advanced through roles including Project Designer, Staff Engineer, Project Engineer and Senior Engineer.

New Hires

4. Colliers announced the hiring of Shawn Smith and Sean Retzloff at its Reno office. Smith is being brought on as Executive VP, while Retzloff is joining as Senior VP. Both new hires are joining from Kidder Mathews.
