The Las Vegas Planning Commission is set to consider the Tunnel to Towers Foundation’s proposed 118-unit veteran housing development during its April 14 meeting.

The Tunnel to Towers Foundation is the developer, while DAF Holding, LLC is the owner. Leo A Daly is the architect. Taney Engineering is the civil engineer and landscape architect.

The multifamily development is proposed on a 5.28-acre site at the NWC of Rancho Drive and Jones Blvd. The site is zoned General Commercial with a Transit Oriented Corridor – Low land use designation.

Immediately to the west sits an existing multifamily development. The east contains a mini-storage facility, and the north features undeveloped land.

The three-story multifamily community will be exclusively available to veterans. Developers are planning outdoor recreation areas for residents, such as a pavilion, dog park and therapy garden.

Other amenities include lounges, fitness rooms, workforce offices, libraries and shared laundry facilities. The building will stand 46 feet tall. Aesthetically, the design incorporates a white, blue and grey color palette.

Access to the site will be provided via Jones Blvd.

Project History

Tunnel to Towers initially planned to construct a veteran’s housing development near the VA hospital in North Las Vegas. The City of North Las Vegas did not permit the zoning changes required for the construction of the multifamily development.
