Groundbreakings

1. The NRP Group and Rockefeller Group officially broke ground on Silverado, a 342-unit multifamily project. The 15-building complex is located between Henderson and Summerlin. The architect attached to the project is Perlman Architects. The complex consists of one-, two- and three-bedroom units. Completion is planned for Q1 2027.

2. The Douglas County Commission unanimously voted to issue $51M in bonds, which will be used to fund a new judicial center. Site work is already underway for the new justice center west of Buckeye Road. The current 40KSF facility at Buckeye Road and Water Street in downtown Minden is 40 years old and struggles to serve citizens due to its small size.

Progress Reports

3. The Interstate 15-Tropicana Avenue roadway project will continue into 2025. The project’s cost also increased from $305M to $385M due to several enhancements added at NDOTs request. According to an NDOT spokesperson, the timeline was extended due to unforeseen utility coordination challenges.
