Awards & Accolades
1. Metcalf Builders ranked 75th on Engineering News-Record’s Top 100 Contractors in the West for 2025, including 12th in Nevada and 13th in multi-unit residential across the western U.S. It is the only general contractor headquartered in Northern Nevada to make the list, and it is the third consecutive year of recognition.
2. Maureen Casey of the Douglas County Planning Commission is set to receive the 2025 DeBoer Excellence in Planning Citizen Planner Award from the Nevada Chapter of the American Planning Association. She will officially receive the award during the 53rd annual Nevada State Planning Conference later this month.

3. Brenda Lopez has been named Director of Asset and Property Management Solutions for Basin Street Properties. Lopez has been with the company for 15 years.
New Hires
4. Gary Mayo has been hired as President of Harmony Homes, where he will oversee development of Blue Diamond Hill in Las Vegas and a community in Golden Valley, Ariz. Mayo, who joined the company in August 2025, previously led Toll Brothers’ Las Vegas operations for decades and earlier worked with Coleman Homes.
5. Compass Commercial Real Estate recently hired Robert Skinner as a broker associate. His experience includes investment sales, land acquisition and leasing.
