An auction is being held at the Jones West Ford at 3600 Kietzke Lane in Reno to make way for Reno Pro Soccer’s planned stadium on 27 acres.

Reno Pro Soccer announced it will be working with the United Soccer League to procure a professional team for the area. The Jones West Ford site was purchased by Reno Pro Soccer on Sept. 8 for $16.5M.

Reno Pro Soccer’s affiliate, NYTDAW-North, purchased the 15-acre former Ford location. Its other affiliate, NYTDAW-South, purchased the nearby 12-acre Peckham Square.

The company announced it will pursue community input in the near future for its plans. This will help determine the team’s name, colors, crest and stadium features.

In 2024, a similar soccer stadium was proposed at South Valleys Regional Park. This stadium had an estimated value of $40M.

Editor’s note: The Reno Pro Soccer Stadium previously appeared in a magazine-exclusive NVBEX article on Sept. 30.

Thomas Hayward Auctioneers is overseeing the auction, which contains a range of items from shop tools to pickup truck beds and urinals. The auction is intended to avoid having to put the items in a landfill.

The auction is running from Dec. 9 to Dec. 18. For more information, click here.
