The Reno Revival project is facing another change as Ahlquist is no longer working on the project.

Madison Capital Group is the owner, while Ahlquist is the former developer. Gensler is the architect, and Engineered Structures, Inc. is the general contractor.

The Reno Revival primarily consists of two large towers that each feature retail on the first floor. One tower will primarily consist of residential and office space, while the other will be a hotel.

Initial plans call for 282 multifamily units, 120.5KSF of office space, 12.1KSF of amenities, 390 hotel rooms, a 900-space parking garage and a 50KSF plaza.

A local development partner told the Reno Gazette Journal the owner is trying to take a more active role in the final stages of the project. The representative went on to say, “Ahlquist handed off the work they had done up until now and looks forward to the success of the project.”

This comes after Ahlquist announced it planned to use the Harrah’s offices as its new Reno headquarters. Additionally, Ahlquist was one of the primary reasons the multi-block property was split into several parcels.

Madison Capital Group is not looking for a replacement developer and will finish the redevelopment efforts itself.
