(PPL Elizabeth Blau; Blau + Associates) Elizabeth Blau, CEO of planning and development firm Blau + Associates, received the 2025 Augie Award from the Culinary Institute of America. The award honors individuals who exemplify innovation and leadership in the culinary industry.
Retirements/In Memoriam/Departures
(PPL Eric Brown; Jason Bean/Reno Gazette Journal) Washoe County Manager Eric Brown will retire June 30. Brown, who has served in the role since 2019, informed commissioners of his decision during a June 10 meeting. The Washoe County Board of County Commissioners will meet on June 17 to formally accept his retirement and begin discussing a transition plan.
