The first phase, valued at $786M, includes a 10,000-seat arena and a 2,400-space parking garage. The project is designed by Gensler in collaboration with the Meruelo Group. Construction is expected to be completed in late summer 2027.

6. Lithium Americas held a ceremonial groundbreaking on the new Orovada School, a K-8 facility relocating students from the intersection of Highway 95 and State Route 293 to Key Road. M3 Engineering is the design firm. Construction plans will be finalized in early 2026 and will begin mid-2026. The school is slated to open for the 2027-2028 year and is a partnership between Lithium Americas, Humboldt County School District, the Bureau of Land Management and the Orovada community.
