Groundbreakings
1. Fleet Data Centers held a groundbreaking ceremony for its data center in the Tahoe-Reno Industrial Center near I-80. The project has already seen more than $1B in funding and will see billions more as development continues.
Progress Reports
2. The Athletics are preparing to commence roof work on the $2B Las Vegas Ballpark project in Paradise. The development team provided an update to the Clark County Commission on May 19. This comes as the A’s have spent more than $400M on the 33,000-seat arena. Completed work includes concrete for the first two levels, the first loop on the lower level and steel work. The team is currently working on the third and fourth seating levels.
3. The Reimagine Boulder Highway project reached a major milestone with new streetlights now activated along a stretch of the 7.5-mile corridor, bringing immediate safety improvements to one of Nevada’s most dangerous roadways. Approximately 400 new streetlights are now in operation to improve sightlines and reduce risks. The City of Henderson will continue its roadway and streetscape improvement efforts along the stretch.
4. Ovation Development is expecting to move residents into its 194-unit affordable housing complex near Bruner Avenue and Las Vegas Blvd. in Q1 2027. The developers broke ground on the multifamily project last year. The apartment complex will cater to low-income seniors.
Completions
5. Montane Building Group finished the renovation efforts of the Eden Home Health Tenant Improvement project. The renovation work spanned 12KSF at 5420 Kietzke Lane, Suite 200 in Reno. Work included remodeling the existing office areas, new furniture, an improved entryway, the construction of a new office and conference room, ceiling improvements, new walls, paint, flooring and additional power.
6. Clark County is holding a grand re-opening for Paradise Water Park at 4775 McLeod Dr. The event will be held May 23. The water park features a pool with a waterslide. A recreation center is located nearby with a gymnasium, fitness room and game room. Additional amenities include picnic areas, a playground and a walking path.
