The City of Reno announced the permit for the potential Costco store at 14450 S. Virginia St. was submitted by mistake.

Submitted record details indicate Pioneer Parkway Holding Co. LLC and Lewis Holdings LLC are the owners. MG2 Corporation is the design firm, and Kimley-Horn and Associates, Inc. is the project representative.

The Costco was proposed as a 161.6KSF building with a parking lot, a 4.1KSF automatic car wash and a 16.2KSF gas station. (NVBEX, Oct. 13)

The permit was initially filed on October 6th and was later changed to say it was “rejected” on October 8th.

The City released a memo addressed to City Council to clarify the error. The submission was intended to request a pre-application meeting with City staff.

City staff also noted they will be looking into traffic impacts of a potential Costco in south Reno. The site specified in the submitted documents is surrounded by Damonte Ranch Parkway to the north, South Virginia Street to the west, and State Route 341 and Veterans Parkway to the south.
