Giving Back

1. Students from the Construction 109 class at Western Nevada College completed a custom-built storage shed and donated it to Healing Arenas Inc., a Gardnerville nonprofit that provides equine-assisted services for veterans, first responders and other community members. The shed will store tack for programs such as the Stable Vets Project.

Promotions

2. The Tahoe Transportation District announced the promotion of Tara Styer to Deputy Director. Styer previously served as TTD’s Capital Program Manager and has assisted in infrastructure and transit projects. In her new role, she will support Executive Director Jim Marino in managing district operations, overseeing project delivery and coordinating strategic initiatives across the agency.
