Sparks Hospitality LLC is seeking approval for a dual-branded hotel at Outlets at Legends in Sparks.
RED Development was the master developer behind Outlets at Legends. The retail/resort complex was recently sold to Alturas Capital Partners on July 23. Sparks Hospitality LLC is the developer behind the hotel.
The hotel seeks to combine La Quinta by Wyndham and Hawthorn Suites. Developers most recently filed a building permit application for the project at 1321 E. Lincoln Way at the corner of Legend Bay Drive in Sparks.
The dual-branded La Quinta and Hawthorn concept was initially discussed in 2019 during a conference. La Quinta is a short-stay hotel targeting business and leisure travelers. Hawthorn, on the other hand, is an extended-stay hotel equipped with in-room kitchens.
The dual brand is intended to keep costs down by allowing the hotels to share a lobby and amenities. This lowers both operation and development costs. Project specifics have yet to be made available.
Project History
Project records indicate a 63KSF, 113-room Everhome Suites Hotel was previously proposed on the site in 2022. The project expired in May 2024. It was also planned by Sparks Hospitality LLC.
