We are gearing up to launch our third and final major service line in the Silver State. I can’t believe it’s been nearly two years since the first issue of NVBEX was published, and I am so proud of the work we are doing for the market whether it is:
- Sourcing all open procurements (not just the 1/3 that NGEM typically has);
- Researching and writing about harder-to-find private projects in NVBEX Exclusive articles;
- Collecting and publishing commercial building permits and real estate transactions;
- Sourcing, organizing and publishing contract awards and bid results;
- Bringing forward a new channel for our readers to market themselves– whether it is People Making News, Projects Making News, or all the fantastic Giving Back news we publish each week in NVBEX, or
- In-person Events, where we always discuss upcoming project opportunities in the given market sector.
Not to be dramatic, but all these small things that are individually useful and great have been preparing us to launch DATABEX.
What is DATABEX?
At its simplest, DATABEX is an online platform designed to track individual construction projects in Nevada valued at $5M+ total construction cost, from early planning stages through end of construction.
What is the Difference Between DATABEX & NVBEX?
Project tracking in DATABEX goes well beyond an article discussing a project at one specific point in time. In a database application, we can organize and categorize documents, including pages from Capital Improvement Plans, full sets of plans & specs, city review documents (staff reports, presentations and rezoning applications), et cetera. We can add contact information and then update if parties (or individual contacts) change. We can change statuses as projects move forward or stall out.
One of the major differences between the NVBEX digital magazine and DATABEX is the ability to capture and store information on projects. It would be slightly ridiculous to publish every active project in every issue of NVBEX (I know I wouldn’t read that…), but in DATABEX, we can keep information stored and handy whenever users want to search for it and do a deeper dive.
Searching & Reporting in DATABEX
DATABEX offers a better way to do market research in a given sector. If you are particularly interested in Industrial or data centers, that is a simple search query. If you want to broaden your search and target all projects in Henderson, regardless of type of work, again, a simple query.
Additionally, users can have their most important projects sent to them using a Saved Search feature. This makes the platform proactive and will start delivering projects that match your criteria every day to your inbox.
We think if everyone has access to better market intel, they can make better decisions, craft stronger approach statements and win more work. DATABEX is another tool to help you with that endeavor.
