Jacobs Entertainment filed a grading permit on Dec. 23 for its planned multi-field soccer development in Reno’s Neon Line district.
Jacobs Entertainment is the owner and developer. OneStudio D+A is the architect.
The project consists of 12 total soccer fields. Each field will range in size. Fields will be constructed to accommodate seven-versus-seven, nine-versus-nine and 11-versus-11 matches. Each field will be made of all-weather turf to ensure year-round use.
Editor’s Note: This project appeared in a magazine-exclusive NVBEX article on Nov. 14, 2025.
Each field is expected to exceed $1M for grading, base and turf materials, fencing and other infrastructure. This brings the total project costs to more than $12M. The fields are part of Jacobs’ youth sports initiative, dubbed the Downtown Reno Amateur Sports Association.
Current estimates project the Association will be able to generate up to $35M annually in family spending. This accounts for $3M-$5M in tax revenue.
The first permit is intended to develop a dirt lot at 235 Ralston St. Jacobs announced it has plans for the first four sports fields, which are valued at $5M.
This consists of two seven-by-seven fields and two nine-by-nine fields. The fields will be constructed on Jacobs’ land at West Second, Washington and Ralston streets.
