Groundbreakings

1. Construction has begun on a 17-building self-storage development in Las Vegas. The project includes approximately 166KSF of single-story buildings and a 164.5KSF, three-story facility. The project is being developed by YourSpace America, with ARCO/Murray serving as general contractor and Magellan Architecture as the design firm. Public Storage will operate the facility upon completion.

Progress Reports

2. The Guitar Hotel Las Vegas, part of Hard Rock International’s redevelopment of The Mirage on the Las Vegas Strip, is nearing structural completion. Crews have poured 36 of the 42 floors in the approximately 660-foot tower, with exterior glass installation underway. The broader redevelopment will deliver nearly 3,600 hotel rooms and is scheduled to open in late 2027.

3. The Domestic Violence Resource Center is constructing a 41KSF shelter on Vassar Street in Reno to expand capacity from 25 beds to 100. The $30.7M project, designed by JPackerStudio and built by Metcalf, broke ground in November and will provide private rooms, support spaces and services for victims of domestic violence. Completion is targeted for June 2027.

Completions

4. SB Builders LLC has completed construction of Centro Market, a 23.2KSF grocery store at 3312 Highway 50 East in Carson City. The $5M project replaces an existing nearby location and was developed for owners Herbert Muro and Armando Valencia. An opening is anticipated in mid-April.
