Groundbreakings
1. Developers recently held a ceremonial groundbreaking for Halo Tower, an eight-story, 220KSF Class A office building near Sunset Road and the 215 Beltway in southwest Las Vegas. Moonwater Capital, Patriot Real Estate, MRK Real Estate Investors, Ryan Tedder and Strategic Development Partners are part of the development team. Martin-Harris Construction is the general contractor. Site work is underway, with building construction expected to begin this summer. The roughly $125M-$130M project is anticipated to be completed in summer 2028.
2. Nevada HAND has broken ground on Serene Pines Senior Apartments, an affordable housing development at 2665 W. Serene Ave. in Las Vegas. The project will deliver 281 units for low-income seniors and is expected to begin leasing in Q2 2028. Funding includes a $42.4M construction loan from Wells Fargo, $12.8M in permanent financing from Freddie Mac, a $6M land acquisition loan from NeighborWorks Capital, $3.2M in state tax credit equity from Stonehenge Capital and $20.6M in support from Clark County.
Completions
3. Green Valley Ranch Resort has opened its redesigned 69KSF meeting and convention space as part of a $200M property-wide renovation in Henderson. The renovation was led by Station Casinos’ in-house design and construction team in partnership with WATG and Wimberly Interior. Additional renovation work on the resort, including improvements to the East Tower and South Lobby, is expected to continue through 2027.
4. Montane Building Group has completed Milan Industrial Building A, a 652KSF shell industrial facility at 855 Milan Dr. in Storey County. Developed with The Conco Companies, the project is fully leased, with final landscaping underway as the site approaches full completion. The team is preparing to break ground on the next phase of the Milan Industrial complex this month.
5. Metcalf Builders has completed East Building 6, a $24M industrial facility at 2200 USA Pkwy. in the Comstock Commerce Center in Reno. Owned by Locus Development Group, the 475.9KSF building is part of the master-planned industrial development in the Tahoe Reno Industrial Center and is ready for tenant occupancy.
6. Nevada Rural Housing has completed Pioche Apartments, a $15.7M affordable housing community on Hollywood Way in Pioche. The project delivered 32 one- and two-bedroom units and redeveloped a former brownfield site that previously contained 14 usable rental units. The community is fully occupied.
7. A ribbon-cutting ceremony was held June 4 for the East Las Vegas Family Dog Park, a $1.6M addition adjacent to East Las Vegas Family Park at 4484 E. Washington Ave. in Las Vegas. JNJ Engineering Construction built the project, and AtkinsRealis served as the design consultant. The completed park includes three fenced dog runs and supporting site improvements.
