The Las Vegas Stadium Authority approved the use of public funding for the Las Vegas Raiders’ planned Allegiant Stadium North Plaza project in Paradise during its Sept. 2 meeting.
Public funding will account for $75M of the overall $158M improvement plan. The project will create a plaza toward Allegiant Stadium’s north entrance. The plaza will feature event decks with entertainment and a transportation hub.
Allegiant Stadium opened in 2021, and this is the first major renovation to the facility since its introduction.
The use of public funding was unanimously approved by the Stadium Authority. Money will come from a fund created during the special legislative session. The money stems from an increase in hotel room taxes, which were mostly seen in the Strip area.
Construction is anticipated to begin after the end of the upcoming National Football League season. The plaza is expected to be complete toward the end of 2028 to make way for the 2029 Super Bowl.
