Groundbreakings

1. Mesquite city officials broke ground June 11 on Fire Station #2 at Horizon and Canyon Crest. Built using the same plans as Fire Station #1, the new facility will sleep six firefighters and is designed to accommodate future expansion. The station will be built by Shaw-Lundquist Construction.

Completions

2. Ashley has opened its largest store to date at 6555 S. Riley St. near Sunset Road and the 215 Beltway in southwest Las Vegas. The 20-acre site includes an 88KSF, two-story showroom and a 218KSF, two-level warehouse. Ashley purchased the land in 2020 for roughly $27M, and Clark County approved the plans. A $19.6M building permit for the retail warehouse was issued in summer 2023.

(WIP Parq on Boulder; Cushman & Wakefield) Morgan Stonehill has opened Parq on Boulder, a new residential community at 6741 Boulder Highway in Henderson. Cushman & Wakefield has been named the property’s exclusive manager. The development includes one-, two- and three-bedroom units and is located near the Cadence master-planned community, with access to the I-11 and broader Las Vegas area.
