Completions

1. Red Rock Resorts has scheduled Dec. 15 for the opening of a new high-limit slot room and 2,000-space parking garage at Durango Casino & Resort in southwest Las Vegas. The $120M first-phase expansion also includes 6KSF of additional casino floor space. A second expansion was announced, estimated at an 18-month time frame and valued at $385M. The second expansion will add 275KSF and various other amenities.

2. Penn Entertainment Inc. is set to open the second hotel tower at M Resort in Henderson on Dec. 1 as part of a $206M expansion. The tower will double the property’s capacity to 765 rooms.

3. Fine Entertainment is finalizing construction on The Mint, a temporary bar in the Reno Revival redevelopment at the former Harrah’s Reno hotel-casino. Located in the historic Reno Bank Building, the project is expected to open on Nov. 19.

4. Nevada State Parks has completed the new Valley of Fire Visitor Center at Valley of Fire State Park in Overton. The $30M project was funded through a public-private partnership that included a $7M grant from the Leona M. and Harry B. Helmsley Charitable Trust and an $8M investment from the Conserve Nevada Program. The facility will open on Nov. 15.
