Groundbreakings
1. The City of Las Vegas has broken ground on the Recuperative Care Center. This facility will double its capacity to 80 beds and expand services for people experiencing homelessness with serious illnesses or injuries. The project, located in downtown Las Vegas near North Main Street, will replace the original facility that opened in 2021. Rafael Construction is the general contractor, and construction is expected to be complete by the end of next year.
2. Demolition has begun inside Regal Village Square, a closed movie theater at Sahara Avenue and Fort Apache Road in west Las Vegas. The 2023 closure was part of Regal Cinema’s bankruptcy-related shutdowns. Workers are completing a grey shell demo to prepare the space for multiple new tenants.

The City of Henderson is moving forward with the nearly $200M Reimagine Boulder Highway project, which marked its one-year milestone with the installation of 105 new streetlights designed to improve visibility for pedestrians and traffic flow. The project is led by the Regional Transportation Commission of Southern Nevada. Additional surface-level upgrades are planned through this year, with full project completion targeted for July 2027.
4. Tahiti Village Resort and Spa at 7200 S. Las Vegas Blvd. has begun a $30M renovation of guest rooms and common areas. Work started in Tower 5 in November, with completion expected by the end of 2025. Updates include redesigned spaces to better accommodate multi-generational families.
