The City of Henderson is the latest jurisdiction in Nevada to consider a data center moratorium.
This follows a trend in which cities have paused data center applications due to concerns surrounding resource management, noise and public outcry.

During Henderson City Council’s June 16 meeting, Henderson Bill No. 3927 was introduced. The bill has the potential to enact a 180-day ban on conditional use permits for data centers.
The moratorium is intended to give the City a window in which it could update the Henderson Municipal Code to better describe and regulate data centers.
City Council will decide on Bill No. 3927 on July 21. Henderson is the first jurisdiction in Southern Nevada to consider a data center moratorium. Moratoriums have already been seen in Northern Nevada and surrounding states. (Source: Las Vegas Review-Journal)
