2. Dickson Commercial Group has relocated and expanded its headquarters to 6140 Plumas St., Suite 100, in Reno.

New Hires

3. Ben Nelsonrecently joined Colliers as a Senior VP. Nelson has worked in the industry for more than a decade. He recently served as Senior VP of Kidder Mathews.

4. Chris Markl has been hired by the University of Nevada, Reno Extension to lead its community and economic development initiatives. He will oversee programs supporting small businesses through education, mentorship and economic data used for social and economic planning across Nevada. Markl has more than 20 years of experience in social entrepreneurship and economic development and succeeds retired economist Buddy Borden.

5. Erin George-Kim has joined McCarthy Building Companies, Inc. as Human Resources Business Partner, serving as the company’s first locally based HR leader dedicated to Nevada. She brings more than 10 years of HR experience and previously held roles with American Homes 4 Rent, Aristocrat Technologies and Wynn & Encore.

He began as an owner in a local architectural firm designing and overseeing projects for Public Works clients for nearly 12 years. He clearly understands the expectations of the public sector, as he then directed numerous projects for over 16 years as the City Architect for the City of Henderson. His focus has always been delivering projects using CMAR or Construction Manager at Risk as he has implemented dozens of projects with his trusted approach, while always involving every stakeholder to ensure each individual receives the highest level of services expected.
