The first phase, valued at $786M, includes a 10,000-seat arena and a 2,400-space parking garage. The project is designed by Gensler in collaboration with the Meruelo Group. Construction is expected to be completed in late summer 2027.

2. RTC of Washoe County, with the City of Sparks and Nevada Department of Transportation, will begin construction Sept. 15 on Phase Two of the Sparks Boulevard Project from the I-80 westbound ramps to Baring Blvd., with additional improvements to Shadow Lane. The $86M project will expand the corridor to six lanes, with upgraded intersections, pedestrian and drainage improvements. Completion is anticipated mid-2027.

3. Nevada HAND broke ground on Ogden Pines, a 51-unit affordable housing community at 1200 E. Ogden Ave. in Las Vegas. The $20M project will replace a demolished 39-unit development and feature studios, one-bedrooms and a limited number of two-bedrooms. Opening is slated for the first half of 2027.

4. KB Home and the City of Henderson broke ground on Meriden, a 940-unit housing community near Stephanie Street and Galleria Drive. 5. The Calida Group broke ground on the four-story, 397-unit Ainsley luxury apartment project next to the Durango hotel-casino in southwest Las Vegas. The site is near Roy Horn Way and Durango Drive. Vertical construction is expected in summer 2026, with first move-ins in Q2 2027.

6. Lithium Americas held a ceremonial groundbreaking on the new Orovada School, a K-8 facility relocating students from the intersection of Highway 95 and State Route 293 to Key Road. M3 Engineering is the design firm. Construction plans will be finalized in early 2026 and will begin mid-2026. The school is slated to open for the 2027-2028 year and is a partnership between Lithium Americas, Humboldt County School District, the Bureau of Land Management and the Orovada community.
