The Athletics received unanimous approval from the Clark County Zoning Commission regarding its development agreement for its baseball stadium.
The approval now makes the A’s one step closer to being eligible to use up to $380M for the construction of its $1.8B baseball stadium.
Bjarke Ingels Group is handling the design, while HNTB is the architect of record. A joint venture between Mortenson and McCarthy Building Companies is the general contractor.
Henderson Engineers is handling Mechanical/Electrical/Plumbing work. Lochsa Engineering is the civil engineer, and Thornton Tomasetti is the structural engineer.

Once the A’s set a guaranteed maximum price for the stadium and finalize other financial aspects, the public funding will be available.

The development agreement provides guidelines and regulations on the construction and operation of the facility. This was one of the largest pre-construction hurdles left to cross for the A’s. The agreement includes various requirements on things such as air quality, dust mitigation and water conservation.
The A’s will also invest in improving vehicle and pedestrian access to the site and develop a Metropolitan Police Department area and Clark County Fire Department post.
The development agreement will streamline the remaining permits that must be obtained for the different aspects of construction.
The A’s are planning to open before the 2028 Major League Baseball season. The baseball team will update the Las Vegas Stadium Authority on the progress during its November meeting.
