The special legislative session that could potentially lead to the approval of proposed film tax credits may begin on Nov. 13.
Assemblymember Reuben D’Silva (D-Las Vegas) said he isn’t positive when the session will commence but that it has a chance of beginning this Thursday.
He told the Las Vegas Review-Journal, “We’ve been told it could potentially start on Nov. 13. I booked a hotel room and a flight, but I made sure that they’re refundable. In the end, it’s the Governor’s call, so we have to just be ready.”
The special session was announced by Gov. Joe Lombardo on Oct. 6. The exact date of the meeting and its potential contents have yet to be announced. In regard to the meeting, Lombardo said he intends to finish what was left unfinished.

D’Silva believes public safety issues will be on the agenda, such as e-scooter safety. He also said it may be likely that the film tax credit programs are revisited but did not know for sure. (Source)
