1. Westex Consulting Engineers announced it has a new subsidiary company dubbed Precision Pipeline Services. The subsidiary will provide storm drain and sanitary sewer inspections in Nevada and California.
Promotions
2. OCMI announced that after 28 years of leading its Nevada office, Justin Peterson is embarking on a new chapter outside of Las Vegas. Peterson will continue to serve as the company’s CFO and Principal. Additionally, the company announced that Marielle Lugay has been promoted to Regional Manager for the Las Vegas office. Lugay initially joined the company in 2017 as an entry-level cost estimator.
New Hires
3. Jeff Sutich has been appointed as Nevada Builders Alliance’s new CEO. Sutich has more than 15 years of experience in economic development, infrastructure and international trade. In his new role, he will oversee initiatives to strengthen the construction, development and trades sectors.
4. Brian Clark has joined WESTEX Consulting Engineers as Quality Manager. He has more than 20 years of experience in civil engineering and previously served as President of Tier One Engineering, a firm he founded in Florida in 2021. Clark is also an examiner for the Northern Nevada/California Chapter of the American Concrete Institute.
5. Rebecca Schrupp has been appointed City Manager for the City of Mesquite. She was selected following a Council-led search process that reviewed 60 applicants. Schrupp has approximately nine years of experience in municipal leadership roles, most recently with the City of Morris, Minn.
