Fisher Brothers, the developer behind Area15, is pitching a roughly 19,000-seat arena near Palace Station and Interstate 15.

The company is seeking a partnership with a National Basketball Association bid group to support the arena and create a surrounding entertainment district.

Fisher Brothers owns 80 acres of land in Las Vegas, 30 of which are home to Area15. As initially planned, the arena would be between 18,000 and 20,000 seats; however, developers can change the size if requested.

The developers are planning to create an urban entertainment center around the arena that will be active every day of the year.

The Fisher Brothers have submitted their plan to the NBA and have had conversations with the finalist bid groups. NVBEX has extensively covered the NBA expansion.

Las Vegas Mayor Shelley Berkley wrote a letter in support of the Fisher Brothers’ project. The site already has water, sewage and power infrastructure. A tourism improvement district could also contribute up to $140M in economic incentives. (Source: Las Vegas Review-Journal)
