Progress Reports
1. Site work is underway for a new $50M Judicial & Law Enforcement Center west of Buckeye Road in Douglas County. Douglas County has initiated annexation of the 57-acre site into the Town of Minden to allow district court proceedings. The project replaces outdated court facilities in the existing justice center.
2. A dual-branded AC Hotel and Element Hotel by Westin is set to open in September at 330 S. Grand Central Pkwy. in downtown Las Vegas. The property was developed by Jackson-Shaw. The 441-room, five-story hotel will include conference rooms, dining, a pool, and first-floor alcohol service following recent city approval.
Completions
3. Grocery Outlet will open two new Las Vegas-area stores May 29 at 45 N. Nellis Blvd. and 1435 W. Craig Road. These are the fourth and fifth local locations for the chain.
4. Whole Foods opened its new location at 2475 S. Town Center Dr. in Downtown Summerlin on May 15. The store replaces the former location on Charleston Blvd. and will anchor the surrounding retail center.
5. Five Below will hold a grand opening May 24 for its first South Lake Tahoe location at 1052 Emerald Bay Road. The store officially opens May 23.
