Groundbreakings
1. The Regional Transportation Commission of Washoe County began construction on the West Fourth Street Downtown Project in Reno. The $7.2M project will upgrade the corridor’s streetscape and enhance accessibility, safety and multimodal connectivity in the downtown area.
2. Clark County began work on the $49.5M Airport Connector Interchange project, a two-year effort to improve access to Harry Reid International Airport and reduce congestion near Sunset Road. The project includes roadway widening, new ramp construction and general infrastructure upgrades along the 215 Beltway–Airport Connector corridor. Las Vegas Paving is the general contractor.
Progress Reports
3. Construction is underway on Peak Distribution Center, a 450.2KSF joint venture by DHL and MDH Partners at 9925 John J. Lee Ave. in North Las Vegas. The cross-dock industrial facility, featuring 40-foot clear heights, 84 dock doors and trailer and auto parking, broke ground in early 2025 and remains on schedule for shell completion in Q4 2025. Colliers International is the project’s leasing representative.
Completions
4. Greenstreet completed The Vintage at Redfield, a 223-unit affordable senior housing community at 4500 Baker Lane in Reno. The project serves residents ages 55 and older earning up to 60% of area median income.
5. The University of Nevada, Reno completed the Main Station Farm Science Center, a classroom and research facility at the Experiment Station. The project, which began in November 2020 and finished in December 2024, includes lab space, classrooms and support areas for agricultural studies.
