Groundbreakings
1. Paramount Engineering & Development has broken ground on 215 Losee Village, a roughly $40M commercial development spanning approximately 18 acres along Losee Road just south of the 215 Beltway in North Las Vegas. The first phase, which will include retail space, a gas station, a car wash and a self-storage facility, is underway following issuance of a grading permit and is scheduled for completion by year-end. A second phase, planned after lease-up of the initial section, will include additional retail space and a five-story hotel.
Progress Reports
2. The Regional Transportation Commission of Southern Nevada expects to complete the $378M Maryland Parkway Bus Rapid Transit Project in fall 2026. When complete, the project will have added dedicated bus and bike lanes, bus shelters and widened sidewalks. Current work near the University of Nevada, Las Vegas includes utility installation, traffic signal upgrades and roadway repaving. Repaving is scheduled for completion in late February.
3. Boyd Gaming plans to open Cadence Crossing, a 50KSF casino development in Henderson, in late March. The project includes a 10KSF casino with 450 slot machines and food and beverage space. The casino is replacing the company’s Jokers Wild property on Boulder Highway. Boyd has indicated a future phase will add a hotel, but a timeline has not been disclosed.
Completions
4. Lake Mead National Recreation Area reopened Government Wash on Feb. 7 following an 18-month restoration effort. The project cleared unauthorized encampments, rehabilitated areas affected by erosion and compaction, created 51 defined campsites, improved access roads and added infrastructure to support small boat access.
