Truckee Gaming LLC is bringing its renovation plans for the Poker Palace Casino in North Las Vegas to the Nevada Gaming Commission for final approval.
The top-to-bottom remodel consists of improving the appearance of the building and creating more amenity space throughout the property. The 25.9KSF property is located at 2757 N. Las Vegas Blvd.
The new owners are bringing in additional slot machines and gaming systems, redesigning the bar, expanding the restaurant and kitchen, renovating the restrooms and refreshing both the exterior and interior.
Currently, Truckee Gaming is in the process of purchasing the casino. Once the casino is purchased, the company will pursue a gaming license and then request permission to close the property while construction is ongoing.
To ensure it is following state law, the company is seeking a limited non-restricted license to remain active during the construction process.
The casino is currently slated to close in October, with renovations expected to finish in the first half of 2026. Once the casino is closed, hourly staff will be let go. In total, 126 employees are expected to lose their positions.
Managers will keep their positions on salary and be temporarily reassigned to one of Truckee Gaming’s Henderson properties. The action was recommended for approval by the Gaming Control Board.
