The Reno-Tahoe Airport Authority held a public event on May 22 in which it unveiled new renderings of its two planned concourses as a part of its MoreRNO expansion.
The event, which was held at the Atlantis Casino Resort Spa, featured renderings of the New Gen A&B concourse project, a preview of planned amenities and concessions, details surrounding public art, and information regarding ADA accessibility.
Gensler is designing multiple MoreRNO projects, such as the $650M Concourse Development Project, which is employing multiple general contractors; the $428M New Gen A&B project, which recently had a Notice of Intent to Award released; the $69.5M Central Utility Plant, which is employing Clark/Sullivan Construction as its general contractor, and the $9M South Remain Overnight, which is using general contractor Q&D Construction. Notably, the $299M Ground Transportation Center is designed by PGAL Architects and is using a joint-venture between Q&D Construction and Webcor Construction as its general contractor. The GTC is a public-private partnership between the airport authority and Conrac Solutions (NVBEX; Jan. 10)
The entirety of the MoreRNO project to repair or replace the airport’s aging infrastructure is valued at more than $1B. Just last year, the airport raised $238.3M in bond funding. Currently, the airport has finished its expanded ticketing hall and Loop Road improvement project.
